Hi @cheers2mom. I use Coinbase.com to sell my bitcoin. It isn't the only way, but it is likely the easiest way. If you sign up for coinbase, you connect your back account to Coinbase and you can buy and sell from and to your bank account.
Beware though, as Coinbase has been known to "lose" bitcoin and also do other sketchy things. If you buy from them, just move your bitcoin to a better wallet right away.
