Poverty in the elite district of Samara

Walking Sunday afternoon in the old city and enjoying the warm spring weather, I wandered on the street "Working Town". Slum area, five hundred meters from the government house, the White House. These are houses with communal apartments, built about 100 years ago, in 1914-1915. Outwardly they look normal, but inside it is total gloom and decay.

Apart from the sagging visor and the partially clogged window, the house looks decent. Inside, things are much worse. Repair, even cosmetic, these walls have not seen for a long time.

Then I met a local resident - an old grandmother, who told me that an orphan from an orphanage recently moved into one of the apartments - Yegor. Earlier, in one of the apartments in this house Yegor had a mother. She was ill with tuberculosis in an open form, and died of it. After her death, nobody lived in the apartment.

During the conversation the owner of the apartment came and I asked to look at the living conditions. Impressions are quite heavy.
