AN INCREDIBLE EVENT KNOWN AS: THE DEER´S SUN!
It’s one of the landscape scenarios most impressive I've seen in the montain, specifically in the Santo Cristo lagoon, located about 3900 m.s.n.m. in the Gavidia´s moorland, near of Mucuchies town in Merida.
This lagoon is water of glacial origin and it’s famous for being THE VENEZUELA'S LARGEST MOUNTAIN LAGOON, in addition to being known for being a place that holds much mysticism to its surroundings.
But before continuing with the history, it’s necessary to clarify : What is the Deer´s sun?
For people who are not from Venezuela, This phrase can seem a little weird (or maybe not).
The Deer´s sun is an expression used in the region of the Venezuelan Plains to refer to the sunsets that stained the sky a reddish color resembling the color of fire. It is called this way because an end of the afternoon, the deer´s remained hidden in the woods went out to eat fruits and graze on the plains.
The fact is that this event, it often does not appreciate as well if you find yourself in an Andean valley surrounded by high mountains, as the orography of the place doesn't give you a good visual. Although there are exceptions, and when you observe how the rays of the sun added a reddish coloration to the slopes of the mountains is something truly Amazing!
In my case, I was camping in the vicinity of the lagoon, I was in my tent since it was raining too hard for several hours ago, it seemed that the clouds fell on the roof of the tent! And at the same time, the sky darkened increasingly: The evening turned into night. As at 5:30 pm the rain ceased for a moment, then I came out of the tent and was where I could appreciate how the last rays of the sun reflected on an imposing cloud that looked like a Cumulonimbus, in addition to that, also could be seen as the moon began to come out in high. Quickly take my cell phone, it was what I had on hand and took some pics of the incredible scene.

At first sight, the nature seem to follow laws that determine the way in which occurs every process in environment, but it is something that goes beyond that, because it´s not only complex, but also original and intriguing in every one of his works. We always felt connected with nature, and at the same time, it’s difficult to explain why we are so impressed for that . The truth is that we are part of it as anything and when we disconnect of the nature, we forget who we are.

By the way, i take a picture when it dawned from where i was camping to the lagoon, it is undoubtedly a wonderful place.
