Stephen Hawking (1942-2018) was an English physicist who, despite being paralyzed by a degenerative disease, became a celebrity for producing some fundamental theories of modern physics. Stephen William Hawking, known as Stephen Hawking, was born in Oxford, England, on January 8, 1942. His father studied medicine and his mother studied philosophy, politics and economics, both at Oxford University. At the age of six, he was already building toy trains. Considered a precocious child, schoolmates nicknamed him Einstein.
