In Memory of my Dad on Father's Day
What more can I say about my Dad, except he was a pretty amazing man. To me he was larger than life itself, a sense of absolute strength to me. We didn’t always have a good relationship, but as I got older and as he got older he was truly much more than my Dad, he was my friend.
This past August he began experiencing some anemia and back pain but after many hospital stays, far too many tests, and much worrying to go with those hospital stays, his team of doctors were unable to find anything wrong with him. In January he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Cancer and he passed away February 20th.
This is my first Father’s Day without him and to say the least it’s going to be a sad Father’s Day. I would do anything to hear his voice just one more time. My world will never be the same. I’m sure there will be many others out there feeling the same way tomorrow.
So to all of you Dads, I wish you a very happy Father’s Day. I hope it is full of lots of family and love.
