Friends for Sale?
It is not a friend to be sold for money but a friend sold out for consequences and wrong doings. Have you ever sold out a friend?
A friend of mine gave me a book entitled "The Book of Hope". The book is somewhat tackles "right now and about real life". After I read the book, it helped me to navigate through life. So in an instant, I thought of writing this blog. I dunno but, what I am eager to write is all about friendship.
Friends are considered to be our acquaintances, intimate and close ones in our lives. We have acquaintances who we recognize their faces and names while close friends are those who we share our interests and we spend our time together in certain activities; thus, intimate friendships are what everyone desires and needs.
Friends stay and listen to our problems. They are always there to share moments in good and bad times. They were the first listeners, advisers and rescuers of yours. Friends are the ones who we can count on and trust; they will always tell us the truth even though sometimes it hurts.
True friendship can't be measured on how long your friendship was - it can be considered but true friendship can be measured and can be proved on how your friends treat you, deal with you and how they deal with others because sometimes, our friends are the one who let us down.
How can I say that friend was sold out? A friend was known to be the first who will lend a hand on you and let you stand up but sometimes, your friend is the one who will pull and let you down. Maybe popularity or the advantages you earned is the cause for him/her to decide to drop you before it affected his/her image.
In addition, friends who sold your reputation by uncovering your flaws or weaknesses to others is something to be considered. They tell your secrets to others which supposed both of you have promised to keep it on your own. Selling a friend is also concerned of having a habit of talking about others behind their backs - like gossip that works the same way; it robs others of their reputation and always comes back around to hurt us in the end. All wrong and negative doings you done to your friends will count as you are selling them. The insecurities, misunderstanding and jealousy are the most common reasons of having problems in friendship.
You still have the way to make it right and to make your friendship stays and survives. You must admit your mistakes and take the responsibility of what you have done that has hurt others. It's good to be updated with the news and events but refrain from being gossiper. If you attempted to gossip, just stop and think about the golden rule. Determine to treat others the way you want to be treated and avoid gossips if you don't want others do in it you.
Are you going to sell your friends? Think first before doing an action. If you have done it, confess to them and admit your mistake. Refrain from doing it and ask for apology or forgiveness with sincerity. Take an action to make your friendship stays and that will last forever.
