"Privilege"

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Nice car, oh wait he is parked in a disabled parking bay. It makes me sick when this happens, and i have seen it alot. Just because you drive a nice car doesn't mean you can park in a dedicated disabled parking zone. Shopping centers should have dedicated asshole parking zones for these wankers... When the lady told him he cant park there this was the response, "yes i can, its a Ferrari, i can park wherever i want"

I don't really think this is an example of privilege as much as it is an example of an asshole.

In there eyes they are privileged, they are better / richer than you so of course i can do whatever i want.

Maybe, but I see people driving Toyotas who do the same thing all the time. Since parking in a disabled spot is illegal, I think its less privilege and more people being annoying and a jerk who happens to have money. I think privilege has become a blanket term that is often applied to situations where privilege isn't present at all.

I think the Toyota driver is just an asshole. I think the Ferrari driver is a privileged asshole :D

But why is he privileged? What if he earned that money through his or her own hard work? Does earning fair and square make you privileged? Not sure if he did or not, but its definitely a possibility obviously. Either way the Toyota driver and this driver committed the same offense.

Because when the lady told him he cant park there he said "yes i can, its a ferrari, i can park wherever i want"

didn't say that in the post homie

Sorry, i didn't want to make a big deal out of it.

Cool awesome post as always.
