This morning my best friend lost her mother. Vary very sad and a great loss, the big C caught up on her. And I want to share a beautiful poem in memory of her together with the picture I made of my stare in the distance of the unknown and the year I had thinking of the ones that passed away. Life sucks sometimes but I cherish the stars that shine upon us at night, and I like to believe that the loved ones are looking down upon us. Eventhough people might think that’s nuts I think it’s comforting.

So here a beautiful poem ...

I wish you enough sun to maintain a cheerful attitude

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun

I wish you enough luck to let your mind be alive

I wish you enough pain to better appreciate the small beauty of life

I wish you enough profit to satisfy your needs

I wish you enough loss to appreciate your possessions

And ... I wish you enough "hello's" to stand the last goodbye

It is so difficult to (have to) say goodbye to something or someone, but luckily there are ways to learn to deal with (your fear of) saying goodbye. I saw with them but also just a couple of weeks ago with my father in law. Yes 2019 was not a great year in regards to dying loved ones. And it will never becomes easy, but there is such a thing as the art of saying goodbye.

Farewell is everywhere, and always hangs somewhere in the air. Whether it is a move, a new job, a friendship that passes, a goodby to a teacher, a pet leaving to go to heaven, and a relationship breakdown or even divorce, or just like now the death of a beloved person. And not only in your own life, but also in the lives of your children, your loved ones , family members and even your pet, everything can happen, which means a farewell is approaching, being expected or unexpected. I don’t know what is more difficult.

The worst with a farewell that death is just always a huge emotional slap in everyone's face, I think that even sometimes that is the reason that people who are left behind can go into depression or even die themselves that’s what hurt and sorrow can do to you.

Because apart from death and mourning, I just can't say goodbye to me. Being sad is in me, and in you too. Against my better judgment, I postpone knowing that I myself am going to be at my own farewell party, and even sometimes I am a bit scared of the idea that I can become the receiving party, especially in love. The fact that also I can die is a cruel one. The Fear became even greater now that I live together with the nicest man in the Netherlands, and have beauties and the most sweetest kids, but also on a less radical level I just don't like saying goodbye. And now you can say yes hello, who is?

The main thing is how we deal with that during that life. And that is sometimes complicated, because many of us do not (yet) have the right tools to do that calmly and comfortably. Saying goodbey is something we all put aside and away. And, quite important to know, if you're having trouble with this, you're not the only one. I am with you. I saw in this case that if you talk about the end and the wishes you have for your funeral or cremation that it makes the wondering if you do the right thing a bit easier. You don’t have to wonder cause you I am with you.

All moments of farewell, small and large, that confront us with change, whether you wanted it or not change us a little bit. Apparently mixed feelings are NORMAL !
