Today I turn 57
I have now been alive for 20,440 days. Wow, time flies.
It seems like just yesterday I was eating dirt and playing with Tonka toys.
Most of us don't live to be 114 so I'm pretty sure I'm on the downhill stretch now, although things still look bright to me!
But, even the home page of Zerohedge states that on a long enough time line the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.
Damn.
Last night @anise started some corned beef in a slow cooker. So we'll have some yummy sandwiches on homemade bread with homemade sauerkraut. We'll follow that up with a Guinness and a Scotch. Pics to follow.
It may be true that I should try to impart some words of wisdom, but its not even lunchtime and I need a nap. Maybe next year.

I'm 47 myself, turn 48 in September. I'm surprised I'm still here, but I'm somehow convinced I'm going to live into my 90s as torturous as it will be.

I'm already apt to being very cranky unless I'm stoned, but all my grandfathers were really cranky, so I feel I'll be in good company. I mean I'm already bitching and saying shit like "What is the deal with this younger generation?"
