Some random words of wisdom:
If you treat a woman like a queen or a man as a king, and they end up treating you like a castle hand, then one thing is clear – your prince or princess is definitely in a completely different castle.
You can never expect circumstances to get any better than what they are now until you acknowledge that you are the creator of your own circumstances and that there is no reason not to take responsibility for that nor blame others.
Isaac Asimov once said: “Never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what is right.”
If you are in a situation and you feel anger flaring up, just ignore it for at least 24 hours if you are no longer angry by then it was probably not worth getting angry over in the first place, If you are still angry after 24 hours ask yourself one question; “Will this really matter on the day I leave this earth?” If the answer is no, then it probably is not worth getting angry for.
I have always found it entertaining how smart girls pine to hear that they are pretty and pretty girls long to be called smart.

Thanks its early here and the trains are running already - people getting ready for work. reminds me of the last few sentences of The Great Gatsby in what the website calls a "The novel is a harsh indictment of the idea of the American Dream":
Most of the big shore places were closed now and there were hardly any lights except the shadowy, moving glow of a ferryboat across the Sound. And as the moon rose higher the inessential houses began to melt away until gradually I became aware of the old island here that flowered once for Dutch sailors' eyes—a fresh, green breast of the new world. Its vanished trees, the trees that had made way for Gatsby's house, had once pandered in whispers to the last and greatest of all human dreams; for a transitory enchanted moment man must have held his breath in the presence of this continent, compelled into an aesthetic contemplation he neither understood nor desired, face to face for the last time in history with something commensurate to his capacity for wonder.

Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther. . . . And one fine morning——
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
