There is a strange yet undeniable simplistic truth in nature, one that can not be denied nor hidden, and every now and then if we just observe nature blesses us with a lesson that remains hidden in its creations lessons that we can harness and apply in our own lives to help strengthen and guide us through the meandering roads of our lives. Today the animal that blissfully entered my conscious space is the Armadillo

Self preservation

In the past, I considered taking care of one self was a selfish act, but as I grew older I realised that one can not fill from an empty cup. If someone does not take care of themselves they eventually losses the ability to truly look after the ones they care for.

The word armadillo is of Spanish origin and the word translates to “little armoured one”
The Armadillo teaches us that we to can protect ourselves when the moment calls for it, just as the Armadillo rolls into a ball to protect himself when the threat arises.
One way that protecting yourself could be closing yourself to external interference or overwhelming emotions, so to say, take a step back, in order to gain clarity on something, just as the Armadillo closes himself off in order to protect himself.

Seek and you shall find.

Glancing into the Armadillo lifestyle, you might notice that they are great at finding things even under ground their sense of detection remains immaculate. This can relate directly to exploring your inner self, finding a dream that you are urged to chase down or just strength or clarity. The armadillo teaches us that it does not matter what the odds of circumstances are, how dark the burrow that you are searching in seems, if you apply yourself adding some perseverance and determination it does not matter what it is you are looking for, you will have success in finding it.
