Without people, people are nothing.
We usually value ourselves in terms of comparison. This is the law of polarity, everything has those two opposite sides. You would have not known light in absence of darkness nor good in absence of bad.

Most people are always trying to improve themselves so that they can look or perform better than others.
People are nervous of how they look and present themselves among others. People are self-conscious of their achievements, they fashion themselves to some external image that they want to resemble.

People are doing all of that to gain the recognition from the community, so that they can be considered as important people in the society; eager want to be important.

How many tickets are bought just because it is mentioned that this is for important people, here very important (VIP) and very very important (VVIP)? Sometimes you will find no difference among the sits of VIPs and other people but simple because it mentioned that this is for VIPs, people sitting there will feel much respected and very important among others.

I sometimes sit alone and come to the conclusion that, if I was alone on a this planet or if you were alone we couldn't be wearing clothes, working harder, exercising, make-ups and so on; because all that we are doing them to impress, to become important among the community and in that case no one to realize us being important.

Without people, people are nothing.
Eager want to be important, Abraham Lincoln called this crave to be important. People are hungry to be important and they work hard and harder daily to become important.

I found this as a useful tool in relationships, business and every aspect of life where we need people.

If you want to win someone, to win their hearts, to bring them to your side, give them what they crave to become.

How to win people by making them feel important

1. Give them your fullest attention.
   This is the most important thing to give to someone you want to feel important. Value the things they value, respect something they respect even though you may not value or respect those things. While talking, be with them and put everything that is getting your attention away like phones or anything else.

2. Tell them something you like about them.
   I wish the same and I know you like the same. Sometimes you even beg someone, can you please tell me something you like about me?
   How can you feel if someone do that to you without your prior begging? What will you do in return? You have good answers. Tell them that I like how you dressed today, I like the way you talk in public, I like the way you're running this organization, I like your commitment, and so on.

3. Tell them how you feel.
   Don't hide your feelings about them. Tell them how you're feeling in their presence. That I am so proud to be with you, am safer when you're here, I am motivated to do this work when you're present, and so on.

4. Make them their favorite food.
   It is always a special feelings to find someone who keeps in mind your favorites. Visiting someone, going out with somebody and He or She orders for you, your favorite foods and drinks without your intervention. So use that tool to win that heart, tell the waiter that please bring for him or her this and that, I know he or she likes them and she may be missing that food.

5. Surprise them with a gift.
   Gifts are better when you didn't expected to get them and this applies for everything good in life. So surprise anyone you want to win with gifts and you will make them feel important to you.

6. Plan an adventure for just the two of you.
   That person will feel very important when you plan an adventure for you two only or in mass depending on the relationship between you. Climbing mountains together, trips, and so on.

Those ways work in different relationships be it business, professional, or in love relationships.

Always keep them in mind that without people you're nothing.
