Road Tripping
We had a rare opportunity to do a little weekend camping road trip with some friends on the weekend. We headed down south to a little place called Manjimup, about 4 or so hours drive from Perth. We stopped off at the Busselton Jetty for some lunch, and a much needed rest.
It was a hot day, with the temperature recording 39°C at some places along the way.
Along the way, we drove along some awesome scenic roads, through forests with tall trees lining the road. Funny to th8nk the speed limit on this road is 110km/h. With the trees whizzing by so close, it feels a lot faster too. Awesome fun!!
We got to our campsite with just enough time to pitch our tents and settle in with an ice cold beer. The was no phone signal, so we put our phones away most of the time and just enjoyed the peace and quite.
This is the only othe photo I took the whole trip.
It was awesome to be completely offline and oblivious to the goings on in the world.
Some much-needed downtime. No doubt we'll try to do it more often.
I agree, it is bliss to not have phone reception, then you can really relax!!
Love the pier with the cafe included in the construction. Must be a nice view ..and break :)
Ok I read 'Manjimup' and the only thing I could think of was that movie 'Jumanji' then pictured you wrestling crocodiles and punching gorillas. LOL
