THE JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH ONE STEP

One step does not always mean to take only one step, it means to start, to make a move, to do something to achieve the goal. One has to take the initiative and act, to take the first step, the other will eventually follow. If a man needs to change a certain habit he needs to start doing that. If he needs a job he needs to start looking for it. Opportunities will not come on ones doorstep. One will have to open that door and start his journey.

What Lao Tzu meant from journey was not the actual journey, it meant goals, tasks and actions. Karen salmansohn once said:

"The first to living life you want, is leaving the life you don’t want. Taking the first step forward is always the hardest. But then each step forward, gets easier and easier. And each step forward gets you closer and closer. Until eventually, what had once been invisible, starts to be visible. And what had one felt impossible, starts to feel possible".

Fear of the Oblivion:

Man sometimes is afraid to take that first step, he fears that he might not be able to get to the end, this fear leads him to nowhere, and if he keeps on assuming how many hurdles the journey will have for him than he will never be able to achieve his dreams. It might be a long way to go but there should be nothing to be afraid of. Hurdles are always there one should be strong enough to take the right step in order to dodge the hurdles.

Life is a Journey:

Life is the name of a one big journey and there are many other sub-journeys in this big journey and every journey requires a path, a path on which the man can take his initial step. It may not be easy, it may be the hardest but in the end it is always the best feeling

Enjoy the ride and in the end you will see these ‘setbacks’ as giant leaps forward, only you couldn’t see the bigger picture in the moment. Remain calm, all is within reach; all you have to do is show up every day, stay true to your path and you will surely find the treasure you seek".

Beginning of New Journey:

A journey always ends somewhere, it may be a long one or a short one, but there is also a start to it and that start, begins with one step. But before taking that step man should be precise of what path of the journey he is going to walk on. To make a dream come true one has to take a step in that direction.

Start small then go Big:

One big step is not necessary, one can always start with mini steps, the point is to get to the goal, achieve it no matter how many pebbles or stones or rocks get in the way. Man should never let these hurdles stop him. No matter how long or how short the way is, one should always at least try to catch their dreams, to take a step for it. If he keeps on waiting for the right moment or right mood or right circumstances than there will not be any success in that.

End Note:

In the end, one needs to act, needs to take a step and to start the journey without delaying it, without waiting for a good mood. Once he takes the first step he will find it interesting and may gain confidence and get motivated, than it will be easier for him to get over his laziness and fear. If a man takes the right step in the right direction with all his might and confidence than no hurdles or barriers will stop him from achieving his goals and he will not step back unless or until he finds his goal.
