Time is precious, however it also takes time to accumulate money. So I would argue that it is not a waste of time if you are spending your time accumulating money but would add that its much wiser to then use that money to make investments that will provide sources of passive income. You will then have more money in the future without having to work as much (to provide shelter food ect) which will mean you have more time....by spending you time wisely you can save time later and also provide a source of income
