Appreciate your commentary. Some thoughts that came to mind whilst reading your post.....for all of us....it is important to 'Know what we choose.'
Too many times we dither...therefore we would not be willing to be first to make a move as there is uncertainty.
Many times we make a decision in the 'conference room' when we should have made it before we entered the room and as you say be willing to take responsibility for that decision. Another way of saying the above is...Never make a decision in front of anybody....since that does not seem to make much sense to people ....it could be said as they say in business 'Know your bottom line.'
Appreciate the privilege you give bleujay to express thoughts as a result of your post.

I could not agree more on the goldfish picture. It was a blessing to find it when searching for appropriate visuals for the words.

I made that mistake for quite some time, and then realized it was my fault and not the people asking me for a decision. You're right, we ought to know our purpose before the pressure comes upon us.
