Living in the present.
Have you ever wondered why some people are happy most of the time and others are not regardless of happenings around them.
Have you ever wondered why some folks seems to be having things their way while others complain of not having it their way. The truth is no one or individual can have things their way all the time or be happy all the time.
We all have gone through events in the past that have left a gaping hole in our lives, it seems unforgettable and no matter how much you try hard enough the consequence of these events seems to linger on.
Thinking or pondering on these events is not the solution as you can not overturn what has occured already, of course your present situation is the culmination of your past. What you should do is to take the lessons and positives out of your past. Yes positives as no occurence is hundred percent negative.
The best course of action is to live in the present because you can only take action now in reality and these actions will impact on the future. As a matter of fact whatever actions you are taking or inaction will come with a certain outcome so if you are not acting now because of the past then the future is bleak.
Make the maximum use of this priceless resource you have at hand now, if possible try and rate your actions on the scale of ten every time, this is to assist you to make the best possible decision each time. Even if the outcome of this best decision does not come out the way you wanted, you spend less time ruminating on it knowing fully well you made the best possible decision at the time.
Taking action and thinking in the now or present essentially allows you to take a more active role in your affairs than resigning to fate without much effort. You will be more proactive rather than be reactive and this allows you to avoid some potential pitfalls in your journey through life.
When you focus on the present you are actually at your highest level of performance as a human as you are more observant or aware of your immediate environment and less likely to make mistakes at crucial moments.

Yes yes yes. Live every moment one at a time. Forget about yesterday for its past, don't worry about tomorrow for its just but a promise, focus on today for its what you have. So my question is what about the part that says save for the raining days? Because to me that means we need to consider what tomorrow holds and by doing that you no longer live for today
The part that says save for the raining days is still in line with taking the best possible decision now. What you are doing essentially is delaying your gratification in order to maximise your profit in the future. The truth is the action is taken now but the result is delayed on purpose.
