From the Top of the World Trade Center - Two Weeks Before the World Changed
I know this post is a day late, but I wanted to share my World Trade Center experience. I'm not going to get into the politics and theories of how or why it happened the way it did. I just want to focus on solemn remembrance of a time before the world, as many of us knew it, shifted that day.
My friends and I took a trip to New York in late August of 2001. One morning we decided to go to the top of the World Trade Center. I had my old school SLR camera with about 10 rolls of black and white film. I think I went through about 6 rolls up there. Something just compelled me to keep taking photos.
Looking at them now, they're almost haunting. To think I was on the rooftop two weeks before they went down, and at precisely the same time in the morning when it happened. The world shifted as it let out a collective gasp. The World Trade Center was a symbol of an era that ended that morning.
Be kind to each other. That's how real change begins.
That spectacular photos! Greetings! Come see the first that I posted
