Wikileaks and The Palace in the Clouds

in #life8 years ago (edited)

As I was reading 'Jack and the Beanstalk' to my son last night, my analogy brain went in overdrive. Follow along...

Jack and his Mother are toiling away in the dirt, looking for a way to improve their lives. Even feeding themselves is becoming a challenge. In his desperation, Jack takes the leap of faith and trades his families cow for a set of 'magic beans', much to the despair of his Mother. They cast aside these magic beans grow into a giant beanstalk into the sky, leading to a palace above the clouds. Inside the palace are a pack of Giants, fiercely guarding the reality of their existence and a goose that lays golden eggs.

How does this tie into Wikileaks? Like it or not, Wikileaks has been revealing the truths hidden in the clouds for the past 10 years.

Admittedly, I didn't like the idea of classified documents being released that could be tied to operatives in the field. This stems from my tactical/strategic/military mind, but I'm seeing Wikileaks in a different light recently.

You may say this is just a derivative of confirmation bias, since the main leaks recently were damaging to those who wield a political ideology I dislike strongly. I'm sure that is true to a degree -- but with each passing day, I'm realizing that the revelations through Wikileaks is revealing and exposing the inner truths of our political elite all across the globe.

What is being revealed is shaking the reality of those who pursue the truth. This shaking begins the process of liberating people from the invisible chains that form from being deceived on a regular basis.

Our political elite sit above the clouds in a highly secure, well-defended palace. Their palace walls conceal the fact that they have in their possession a goose that is able to push out valuable gold day and night. While the rest of us must toil in the dirt below to earn our gold, the only toil necessary for the Protected is to conceal the truth of the Goose and defend it -- often with violence, but always with deception.

The moment Jack took his leap of faith to climb that beanstalk and courageously sneak in the Giants palace, those of us on the ground had no idea that this palace even existed.

Jack reached the ground and the truth of what he saw was revealed.

What the rest of the Giants in the clouds really fear is that their secret world and their protected Truths are going to be revealed to the world.

One of the giants is roaring down the stalk right now -- declaring war on the world below, furious at the impudence of Jack. What right does he have in revealing THEIR truth? The little minds of the fools, toiling away in the dirt below, couldn't begin to comprehend the reality of their protected life in the clouds.

Wikileaks has placed a beanstalk right on the front door of the palace in the sky and for anyone with the determination to climb through the vines and leaves can see the reality above with their own eyes. Its an ugly, shocking sight when viewed in contrast with the simple life below. But it is a necessary sight.

Too true. Outstanding post! ☆☆☆☆☆

thanks for the post.

wikileaks is good for the masses to have their noses rubbed in, so they can be forced to acknowledge many of the things they have been ridiculing for years as "tifoil hattery", but i haven't seen anything from wikileaks yet, that i haven't already known for years. there is still way more, and i'm waiting, but not patiently, not anymore.
