These photos belong to the Saddi village of Nepal. The man, who is extracting honey, hanging on a bamboo ladder at an altitude of 400 feet, is Mouli Din. Mauli is 57 years old and still goes on the high mountains of the Himalayas and gets honey. Mauli Gurung belongs to the tribe. This tribe of Nepal is known as the dangerous hunter of honey.
National Geography has prepared a documentary titled 'The Last Hunter Who Shot Death'. This documentary has been prepared by photographer Renan Ozertke.
During this time, Renan spent a lot of time with Mauli and his disciple Asadan and went with them to make honey film.

  • Ryan explains that after seeing how Mauli was hunting, he had stopped breathing. Because, Mauli hangs out of the high mountains only with the help of a bamboo staircase and pulls out the honey.
When Mauli hung the height of 400 feet on Everest and removed honey, they remained unaware. The downside was scary and there was no scope for error.
However, Mowley does not make any difference to this. They have been able to overcome death like this since childhood. Now the height of the mountains is like the children's game for them.
Mauli explains that now only two people who have left the honey in their tribe have survived. One and the other is his disciple, Asadan. Asadan is 40 years old.
  • The whole tribe used to work only to remove honey, but due to low income, people gradually became involved with other business.
One kilogram of honey is worth 15 thousand rupees
Mauli had learned this skill from his father at the age of 15. They were always present on the mountains with their father.
  • Mauli learned to make a bamboo staircase from the father, bind him and reach the honeycomb through his support.
  • In this, Mauli explains that till now so many bees have cut them so that their sting is no longer affected by them.
Mauli says that according to the changing season, they come to the Himalayas and their journey is three to four days.
During this time, they collect honey up to 20 kg. The price of this honey in the market is 15 thousand rupees per kg. It is one of the best honey in the world.
Actually, the Himalayas have bees named epis laboreausa. They are the largest in the species of bee species. The poison of their sting is also very dangerous.
