My Local "Dive" Bar Has Some Interesting Rules.
1. Order very very late.
2. Food is so bad more than shit.
3. Customer's not God.

There are a few reasons that I like this bar, the first one being that it is walking distance from my condo. It's so close that during the late night football games I can tell you if someone has scored from the cheering making its way up to my 31st floor room. But that's not the only reason to love it. Its owned and run by a group of young Thai guys who refuse to let anyone or anything stress them out. Read the Rules, if you don't like it move on.
What's more most nights they will have live music and on the weekend they show Premier League football on the television. It's a pretty simple open-air place with a concrete floor but the drinks are cold, the food is hot and the price is right. Its particularly popular with students from the nearby technical college.
THE FOOD
Tom Yum - Crocodile - Squid Eggs
The food here is always tasty, and you will often find some more obscure dishes that you may not get anywhere else. Tonight we shared 3 dishes. The first was deep-fried squid eggs with garlic. Now, I'm not usually a fan of squid eggs, but when they are fried up like this they are absolutely delicious. Like a softer sweeter version of popcorn chicken. Outstanding! Our 2nd dish was crocodile cooked with black pepper and vegetables. Crocodile isn't actually a great meat, it pretty much tastes like thin pieces of chewy pork. To be honest, if you served me some chewy pork I probably couldn't tell the difference, but overall the dish was tasty. Our last dish was a slightly more normal Tom Yum soup served with squid. They make a particularly spicy and delicious Tom Yum here that will make your eyes water.
THE DRINKS
The drinks are pretty much standard fair for a Thai pub; Whiskey or beer. They serve local LEO beer by the glass, jug or 3 Litre tower. They also make an interesting "Mexican Bulldog" which involves turning a bottle of Corona upside down into a frozen Margarita, and chucking in some jelly balls and berries.
The best part is that I can enjoy a fun night our here without spending much money and then walk home, because I understand that "Customer's not God" . Have a great steeming weekend everyone!

I want to spend a night in there - looks fantastic. The worst in the world is the middle of the road that tries to pretend it is a 'cocktail bar' (immediate put-off is the name - when it is really a pub with a mirror behind the liquor bottles! And beer is $5/bottle.
This looks clean, honest and the food looks better than some franchise can do all day long! When can I use your sofa?
