What is “manliness”?

To start off, please know that I, myself, am not much of a huge person.

(I believe I still lack in many areas. However, I want to present to you the key point of my thoughts as I have seen so many people who are lost and asking preposterous questions.)

The reason why it is important to find yourself is that by doing so, you can discover the fundamental happiness of life and draw a distinct line. Best of all, you can set the core value for yourself, which helps in establishing a firm goal and gaining confidence.

You are clearly making an endeavor to achieve the goal of your own, and the demonstration of this would also be very easy because it is all true; you have been living your life by being yourself.
We often hear that how other people recognize me as is very important. It goes along with the question of “Am I really a man?” You might ask, “People's impression of you is more important than doing things to become popular?

“Does that mean I would fail no matter what?”

If you have asked this question, I dare say you have made a mistake of only interpreting the text, not the content. People think there is no doubt that good-looking people with degrees from prestigious universities who also has their own goal would be popular. However, this is rather a wrong approach. This is nothing more than a so-called, in Psychology term, covering defense mechanism over oneself.

In our modern society, how many do you think are real men?

Why do women like people who are older than them and has economic power? Is it just because of money and ability? I believe this is just a prejudice that the society has wrongly created. What women really want is the “man” itself; not just any man, but the “real man.”

Let’s go back to the primitive ages. Males had to go hunting; during it, they had to deal with various dangerous situations with agility. They also had to know how to encounter the inevitable. There had always been a threat of war until the Joseon Dynasty; therefore, they had nowhere to escape but to face and conquer the moment.

Of course, women are attracted to men who are capable of physically and mentally protecting them; to be specific, they want men who have the experience of it. It has been the same since the past. This is because females, compared to males, generally have a shallower ego and therefore desire to be affiliated with men who have a solid ego.

The reason why females divide teams and are more solid when united is that they feel much more afraid of being abandoned than males do. To avoid such thing from happening, they are making people be on their sides. Therefore, they want males who have a solid ego.

In that respect, males who have a profound sense of humor and composure have already had experienced such hardship; they have lived their lives trying to resolve such problems instead of ignoring it, which makes it possible for them to naturally let it out.

Thus, doing things to impress women and be popular is meaningless. The reason for this is when a problem occurs, men lose their consistency, avoiding the problem rather than actually fighting against it. You have to be a man first.

A mentally mature man. A man being kind or rude is not the interest here; what is important is how confident he is about himself and how strong his ego is.

Accordingly, it is important to become a man rather than to superficially show off one’s manliness. The fundamental lies in the habit of trying to bravely face the problem instead of running away from it and through such, having the belief in oneself that he can solve all problems that he encounters. This is not a hard thing to do.

We are the grown men who have been taught a lot of things and has a healthy physique. We are not the little boys as we used to be, getting help from parents and avoiding complications. We are adults. I believe the charm of ourselves can be emanated when we mentally grow as the adult and are more capable of handling discomfort.
