#FOOD: IS THERE SCARCITY IN IT?

Food is the basic need of our body to keep us healthy and strong. Our health is important to keep us going and do whatever we want to do. Good food and supply can only be obtained if you have enough budget or money to buy for it. But what about those people living in the street, under the bridge and unemployed? Do they have good food? Most probably, the answer is NO. And those people are living below poverty line.

Based on my research, here is the top 20 countries living below poverty line. Top 1 is Syria with 82.5%, this means that 82.5% of the population is living below poverty line, then followed by Zimbabwe. The top 20 is South Sudan with 50.6% of the population below poverty line.

Philippines has 21.6% of the population belongs in the poverty line as of 2017 report. Out of 21.6%, I am so thankful and blessed that I am not one of those people. Once you belong to that line, you always experience scarcity of food or inadequate supply of food. Many people died in malnutrition because they don't have enough income to sustain their daily needs specifically on FOOD. The main problem of these people living below poverty line is not actually the scarcity of food. It is actually the income that sustains the need. People who have good income waste food, eat a lot then buy equipment to make them slim. Where is the logic in it?

When you go to restaurant, think of the poor people who don't have enough food to eat. Just order food enough for the group or for you. As much as possible, eat without left-over. That is the best thing you can do to minimize waste.
