The decision-making process is the primary objective that organizations and institutions aim to achieve through the implementation of multiple administrative processes. Stages of decision making

Finding and diagnosing the problem: This is the most important stage in making decisions. The decision-making manager must identify the basic problem and its dimensions, determine the situation that caused the problem and determine the degree of importance of the problem in order to make the most appropriate decision to solve it.

• Collection of information: In order for the manager to develop appropriate and multiple options to solve the problem, he must collect all data and information related to the problem. The ability of the manager to make the right and effective decision depends on the amount of accurate and impartial information on the problem. Data and information are classified as follows:

  ° Primary and secondary.

  ° Quantity.

  ° Quality.

  ° Things and facts.

• Identify and evaluate available solutions or alternatives: How and how solutions will depend on:

  ° The status of the institution, its policies and the philosophy to which it is committed.

  ° Physical institution status.

  ° The time available to the director or the decision maker and his direction.

  ° The ability of the manager or decision-maker to think creatively and logically.

• Choosing the most appropriate alternative to solve the problem: The process of choosing the most appropriate alternative is based on several criteria and considerations that the decision maker takes into account:

  ° The extent to which this alternative is achieved.

  ° This agreement is in agreement with the values, objectives and importance of the institution and its procedures.

  ° Accept workers for solution or alternative.

  ° The degree to which the alternative or solution affects the human relations between workers.

  ° The speed of the solution and the date of the results.

  ° Alternative suitability with external factors.

  ° The efficiency of the alternative and the revenues to be achieved from it.
  

• Implementation and follow-up of the decision: The manager must announce the appropriate decision in time to get the best results. The process of following up the implementation of the decision will develop the director and his assistants the ability to investigate the realism and accuracy during implementation, as well as develop the responsibility of subordinates and urge them to participate in decision-making.
