Mind your own business
Hi Steemians, this is a topic that has been puzzling me for a while. With all the personal problems we all have as human beings, some people still dare to ignore their own issues focus on other peoples problems through gossip. If some one has a problem and asks for your help its another thing, but if you were not invited and your purpose for intruding is not to help but just to be a spectator and a commentator, spreading the process of peoples problems when you have your own unsolved issues, then i am baffled.
Even the bible says in Mathew 7 verses 3 to 5 :
3 - “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 - How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5 - You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
This is clear, it is easier to try to solve others problems when you have solved your own issues or else you will overwhelm yourself with issues, yours and others. As the English man says "charity begins at home", this saying is very deep. It is not logical for you to say you understand your neighbours household is suffering from poverty, then you go ahead to give them all your salary, what do you think your own family will feed on? Or that you wish to send your neighbours children to school and forget about your own children. You can not get too busy trying to fix your siblings relationships and marriages while neglecting your own spouse.
What I am saying in essence is that let your life be a testimony to aid change others. People should see your life and desire to be like you. Let your actions speak louder than your words. If you want to teach your siblings and children about marriage, be a good spouse and they will learn naturally from what they see in you over the years. They will therefore grow up to be good people, good spouses and have great relationships and eventually wonderful marriages and lives.
