Humble buildings from each other in Kyoto magnificant city of Japan
Kyoto, the capital of cultures of Japan is famous with its significant old temples and royal palaces. However, a local photographer wanted to draw attention on more modest buildings and structures of the city.
About a year ago, photographer and founder of the Kyoto Journal magazine, John Einarsen, started a series of photos called "The Minimalism of Kyoto", sharing the photographs on instagram taken by the phone during daily city tours by bike. Ever since then, more than 200 places such as home, workplace, workshop have immortalized the images of the neighborhood temple and tea house, each of which has been charmingly overflowing. Here is the compiled images of buildings from Bored Panda that are so enormous that the streets of Kyoto are modest.

Your welcome! Of course I like it.
Hi! To me it looks very unusual. Very small houses , but they look nice and cozy. I like to consider this architecture. Thanks for the Photos.
It's like the side of Kyoto that remained background considering the modern architecture of the city. You are welcome !

30 unique houses. They really give this town a distinctive feel. A walking tour of Kyoto sounds like it should be part of any travel plan. Are there many houses like this in this city or are these ones in particular quite unique. Is that a slide on the Urban Architecture one?
Those are just a small part of those kind of houses. When you go for a walk, not only the conventional part but also back alley, you can run across with them at any place in the town. You can find more pictures from John Einarsen's instagram account.
So these are captured amazingly!
They look so quint.
