They want to know how they can be happy when they have an unhappy relationship, are fighting in their job, and have money problems. It's understandable, though, because no one wants to be miserable in life. Here are some things that will help you find happiness.

  • Find the good in everything. Sometimes we get so caught up with the bad that it all becomes a game of survival of the fittest. When you find the good in every situation, you'll find that being happy comes much easier. The more you focus on the good things in life, the better off you'll be.

  • Don't spend too much time on the negative. Many people make the mistake of thinking if they're sad, depressed, or angry, then it must mean there's something wrong with them. In fact, being unhappy is a part of being human. If you find yourself feeling sad or depressed and blaming someone else for your troubles, that's a surefire way to make being happy difficult.

  • Give back. When people earn money, they tend to think that their lives are absolutely perfect. However, when you give back to the community or to charity, you give back in a way that is much more important than earning money. There is no reason to live a mediocre life when you can actually make a difference in other people's lives, which is a huge part of being truly happy.

  • Be thankful. If you are grateful for what you have now - or for anything - it makes you that much happier. So be grateful for everything you have, and what you could have, and you will be that much happier. The fact is, the more grateful you are for whatever it is you have - the more happy you will be.
