What is karma nothing but your own action..

I have seen people using the word karma all over the world but seldom they know what it really mean. It is strange that how this word has found usage in western societies may be it got its passage through yoga, whatever the case be but it is good because it brings an opportunity for people to understand the beautiful concept of karma which will help them in their life.

Karma is a Sanskrit word which literally means action, it has been always the understanding in Eastern cultures that whatever you are today is nothing but the result of your action, none other than you are responsible for your life.

That is what karma is, your action, whatever karma you have performed in the past you will bear fruit of it. This in a way is ultimate philosophy of life because it destroys every god, heaven and hell and tells you that you and only are responsible for your problems, there is no god up there, it is you who is the master of your destiny.

We don't see it in our every day life because we are not conscious of it, we are performing majority of our life unconsciously, hence most of it is happening by accident and in consequence we are blaming some God or destiny whatever it is you believe in for problems in our life. Basically what we are attributing to God is the fruit of our own unconscious action.

You threw a stone up and forget about it, after some time if it will land on your head you are bound to blame others for it, because you are not aware of your own actions.

So, this is what karma is, your life is your karma, this idea gives control of your life completely in your hand. You must realize either misery or joy, everything you have in your life, you and only you are responsible for it no one else.
