What to look for when investing?
Throughout my experience in investing I have learnt so much. I want to share my thoughts and experiences with you guys:
Management - Watch this one closely as these people dictate the future of the company and stock. Are these people passionate enough? Do they have more than skin in the game? How long have they been with the company?
Community - What are the thoughts of other investors? As silly as it sounds sentiment dictates more than we think... Aren't we supposed to be rational?
What is the price action? Are there dividends? Is any news expected? You will see whatever the news is - the volume and interest will peak before the announcement. Some people have all the time in the world to follow company movements.
What is the pipeline of the company? Does it sell or market in something that will always be profitable? How can it ensure that it bypasses any disruption? This is a hard one but this is where you MUST believe in your company. Know that you can sleep soundly because the company is doing something worthwhile and you are a believer!
Technicals - Look at the P/E, P/B, RSI, Bollinger bands, Moving averages and most importantly Fibonacci charting! There are many resources on the internet to explain this. Check out www.investopedia.com they do an amazing job!
