I like your approach to the morning practice, allowing for some variety and switching it up sometimes, depending on what else is going on. That's what I do, though my basic morning practice is yoga stretches while listening to spiritual material, then meditating.

Followed by eating a banana.

this sounds like a most excellent regime! I like to include bananas as well. most mornings, blended with cacao and peanut butter into a delicious smoothie :P
