Good morning, this is @bait002 the founder of the offline minnow school where minnows are mentored and groomed. I have been doing some posts on the deepest things about the experience and psychology of new steemians and it’s been quite amazing based on the feedback gotten. Today I will be talking about something I mentioned some few weeks ago but in a different dimension.

before we take any step further, I would like to stress that whatever we do here is for the sake of humanity as a whole and that means it is way bigger than we are.

When you understand that what you’re doing will be putting several groups of people at stake, you would be able to draw more strength from inside you to see that it happens.

THE STEEMIAN WORLD VIEW

There’s a way successful steemians think, ask any of those who you find to have gone very far there’s something in common, what they do is life to them.

no, it’s not about earning a couple of dollars or building a follower base. It’s about passion and a yearning for self-expression.

When passion is underlying, passion manages expectations. Passion is what makes practice synonymous to life. And giving up no longer becomes an option. However, all the above points will be difficult to achieve if expectations aren’t managed. That takes us to the next point.

MANAGING YOUR EXPECTATIONS IS VITAL

Oftentimes, steemit promoters fail in the aspect. We most times can’t wait to sign those new users up and we go on to tell them about the beautiful things on steemit saying little or nothing at all about the grind. The GRIND is the mining process and in my dictionary, the intensity of the process when so much human energy is put in to get little or no rewards at all.

At some point it would seem like the cost of being here is far greater than the marginal benefit. It’s expensive to stay here but trust me, when the reward begins to flow eventually the whole stress during the grind will be forgotten and you’ll become one huge encouragement to someone else.

I like to share my story with minnows countless time. How I started blogging when I had neither a computer nor a smartphone and today with steemit I have both.

Sometimes minnows ask me if it’s possible to bypass the grind. Yes, it is 100% feasible but it only takes a lot of money to get the dollars rolling. Appreciate the whales that trusted the system on the basis of foresight, not having any tangible reason to believe in the future of steemit.

but they made substances of believe from within their minds and today, you get to be a part of a story like this as a result of that sacrifice.

THE NEED FOR MORE ROOM ON THE PLATORM TO WELCOME ALL MANNER OF CREATIVE WORKS

I greatly believe that something huge is about to change in the history of our existence and that’s because of the blockchain technology. A lot of things have become feasible and attainable and so far, it’s been nothing but the tip of an iceberg.

We can make the world a better place and finally find the stage for our voices all over the world. I recommend that steemit makes more room for other creative works beyond writing. I love to write, but there’re several parts of which I am that I can’t express still.

All the students at the offline minnow school can relate to this and also many across the world. Few weeks ago I introduced the idea of STEEM BEYOND WRITING an initiative that we will take as far as we can as long as we draw breath.

For those who seek to know what this project is all about, you can read that below;

PHASE 1:

At this stage, we teach some minnows at our offline classroom to help attain self-sustenance. These minnows will then work with us as a team, reproducing other minnows. Currently, we have just wrapped up with Phase 1. And Phase 2 which is more demanding kicked off already. We have already recorded a track which you’ll find @theminnowschool. We are also in the process of recording a next track but the negotiation is still ongoing.

PHASE 2:

This basically is the core of the vision is to raise steem-backed entrepreneurs of young people. The method through which we execute the absolute idea goes as follows;

• SKILL ACQUISITION PROJECTS: where various skills will be taught to foster the emergence of new entrepreneurs that thrive on voluntarism.

• THE MINNOW SCHOOL TALENT HUNT: we greatly hope to give minnows who are not really writers but have other gifts such as singing, painting, dancing, acting a platform to express themselves and get their creativity beyond their minds. Basically, we are giving these young people a voice and ultimately awaken the writer in them.

• THE MINNOW SCHOOL ART/MUSIC EXHIBITIONS: here talented young people will get to showcase their talents and the value they have to offer to the community. We will be sponsoring art projects and professional music careers will emerge with this.
