Security in Africa
Security is a paramount problem in which majority of the populace is cognizance about. We are in a society that is not secured, where crime thrives, kidnapping a major issue and people resulting to jungle justice or lynching criminals to protect themselves or serve as deterrence to other lawbreakers in our community and by so doing has shown that the government voted by the people has proved beyond reasonable doubt that they are not capable enough to protect its citizens.
There is a reason I would always use my country the so called giant of Africa as a reference, our security system is in shambles, Terrorism is on the rise, we hear about children less than 12years old being strapped with bombs which would eventually be detonated resulting in the death of innocent civilians, and all we have are our leaders sitting in their comfort zone making empty promises to the people that they swore to protect with their lives.
Security should not be an issue handled with levity instead it should be paramount on every African leader’s table, come to think of it how much is dedicated to security in their annual budget how many African countries can boast of drones, submarines, fighter jets and all other latest equipment in their arsenal.
I just pray that by the time our leaders get things right it would not have been to late.
Trustfully our political leaders will have a change of heart. They won't neglect their responsibilities. Africa can only be a better place when we have a good government and mind you a better government begins with you and I. Begins from how we manage our selves and home. Don't forget the saying "charity begins at home" so we have to guide our little ones properly. Relaying to them whats good and that which is right and not pollute their minds. That way we can have hopes of a better tomorrow.
