BUDAPEST AT NIGHT! Appreciation Post!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #life5 years ago (edited)

I visited Budapest briefly at the end of September and I quickly fell in love with it. Before I visited the city I thought 3 days would be more than enough to capture the city and admire the sights. Already on the first day I came to a conclusion that this is not the case. If you do not want to have blisters on your feet from walking, I really recommend you take your time and stay in Budapest for at least 5 days (I would say more, but we all do not have the time).

Even before coming to Budapest, I was determined to see how the city looked at night. But not from any perspective, I wanted to experience the night view by boat. For those travelling on a budget and not wanting to spend an enormous amount of money just for a boat ride Budapest is perfect, because they offer a sort of unlimited boat rides for a really cheap price.

Even though I made a ton of photos, the ones of the Hungarian Parliament were the only ones which came out decent. Which is why I will post another photo at day time which really shows how beautiful the city is in its entirety. If readers will be interested in more of Budapest, I will make a few more posts about Budapest and my favourite places there and you will have an insight into my trip to this Hungarian Beauty!

Beautiful Budapest! I stayed there for over 3 weeks last November, and did a few blog posts, but haven't fully edited all my photos yet! Even 3 weeks was not enough. There are still places I want to see. I can see the roof of my son's apartment over in Pest in that last shot! That's a great shot!

How was your experience in Budapest in November? Was the place crowded with tourists? I am coming back again this year for a week!

No, it was wonderful in November. There were not many tourists and it was easy to hop on a boat ride etc. without waiting. It was very mild when I was there, so all I needed was a warm sweater or light jacket in the evenings. I caught the first Christmas Market then too, and it was magical. That's the one on Vörösmarty Square - Budapest Christmas Fair and Winter Festival. The one by the Basilica doesn’t open until December. Because I was staying with my son, he knew his way around , so after the first couple of weeks I bought a public transportation pass rather than using the hop hop off buses. Mostly I just walked everywhere though.
