We all have unique abilities and skills, some which we often times overlook. Most of us want to make a positive difference in our world today and in people's lives but have no idea how to do that. I feel that sometimes making a difference is a little bit overrated, in the sense that we consider people to have made a difference only when they do extremely great things.

Most of us believe that to make a difference we must do really "big things" (which is definitely okay), but then not all of us have the ability to do those "big things". If we wait until we can do those "big things" before we attempt making a difference, then we might end up never making a difference.

The "little" things we do most times go a long way in making a difference in people's lives. The honest compliment you give, the time you give in listening to someone's problem and even the simple smile you greet a stranger with (yes, your smile has the ability to light the darkness in someones' life), they all go a long way in making positive differences in people's lives.

Being a little bit kind to people might make a huge difference in their lives. There is someone that just need that little act of kindness to add spice to their lives and to also believe that there is so much goodness in this world.

So, go ahead and make the little changes you can around you, share a little hope with your smile (even though it looks simple). If you can do the big things, then don't hesitate in doing that, but don't let your inability to do big things stop you from enjoying the blessing that comes from helping and changing lives.
