Beauty in the Journey

There is so much in this photo that reminds be of life, and it gives me encouragement. There are so many different aspects of this photo, so let me explain.

The big rose in the middle: This signifies the best moments in our life currently; things that are going on or people right now that make our life special or fun or interesting. Things that we are experiencing day to day, because each day brings new joys and treasures to behold.

The small roses around the big rose: These small roses signify the good things in the future that will happen in our lives. Those good things are in the making in our lives right now, but we haven't experienced them yet.

The small dying rose in the corner: That rose signifies the hardships that we face in our lives. We can't avoid them, and they might stain our good memories or moments; but they will wither and pass and we will get through them.

The leaves: The leaves signify the daily things that we do, the seemingly meaningless tasks that we do that make our life unique to us. They are neither good nor bad things, just normal, day to day things that we do.

The pathway: The pathway signifies life. It is a path that we are on, and there are many different opportunities on this pathway called life. It is sometimes easy to walk on, with a smooth surface and easy-to-see edges. But other times, we can't see the edges so we trip and fall on the hard surface.

The feet: The feet signify our journey along the pathway of life. The shoes are worn from many miles traveled and many different experiences, but they show our progress on this journey. The color shows our personality and reminds us that no matter how bleak things seem or how far we travel, there is always hope ahead.

I believe that everything we do has meaning, and that we were put here on this earth to glorify God. He guides our steps and picks us up when we fall. He pushes us forward and gives us new experiences. He places things and people in our life, and He takes them out according to His divine, holy and perfect plan. All that happens in our lives is known by Him, and He guides us through it. He is a loving God who blesses His children with many blessings, but He is also just, and things happen for a reason unknown to us. But He will always be with us through trials and tribulations and hopes and joys, and anything and everything in between. Trust in Him and He will make our paths straight.
