Hope
It is quite normal to change your views, morals, goals, rules and behaviour through the years. I for one never really understood the phrase "stay as you are". Stay as I am ... preserve myself as if I was a jar of goods and be left behind on a shelf going stale. It just doesn't work like that, does it?
So if you asked me what I think of the word hope in the past I would probably offer you a bitter answer. Now? It got a bit more complexed than that. It is a bit like a spark ... starts small and weak but with nurture and care, it grows. What it is, is pure energy. Fuel.
Sure, no one likes that flame being extinguished. But I say if its there, don't be afraid. Use it. Burn it up.
I cancelled gym today. Couldn't get off the tablet. I was testing out photoshop. For a first go, I must say the orientation was quite smooth. This was done while testing brushes and well getting a general feel of the program.
I was thinking of using it for @holoz0r's contest. But changed my mind and though it was just a test run I gave it a title. Hope.
Woa! I like the hope!:P and also the tiny you in a jar xD is a nice analogy.
Btw, most illustrators I know use paint tool sai; have you tried it? I like it but I almost never use it because I almost never illustrate :V

And yup, staying the same is quite difficult, sometimes we change and we don't even notice o.o or the opposite too! it has happened to me that I have not changed some things but some old friends did and we don't get along the same anymore and since within a group I am different they say I changed...o.o I don't know if I explained myself xD

I know really...and ty. :) Meh...im pretty sure u did just fine. Turns out using gimp for all this time did pay off....think i get around much easier now, cuz i used that beforehand.

Every time someone will tell me to stay as I am, I always had the perfect comeback answer: I'll stay as I am as long as I need it. Could be minutes, months, years..but at some point, I will change :)

Clearly you are lucky enough to have never been in such a situation :) but when there is nothing to eat today, there was nothing to eat yesterday and there is nothing to eat tomorrow... A jar of pickles is hope :)
