New project - electric cable trench

This weekend I've started new project on my homestead - cable trenching. I was preparing for this moment probably year because the scope of work is quite large. I need to dig a trench 100 m long.

Our soil is clay, dense and heavy therefore, in 2 days I managed to dig only 15 meters to a depth of about 50-60 cm.

It's not right. According to Russian regulations, the minimum depth for cable laying is 70 cm, but it is very difficult to dig deeper than 50 cm. Even in order to dig into this depth, I have to work with an ax.

In addition to the ax, I used a few more tools.

In fact, I developed a whole scheme. I cut the clay with a large shovel or an ax, then take a hoe, and then a small shovel. Despite the large number of tools, I work alone, so the work is progressing slowly. I think that I will walk 100 meters in about a month. So wish me luck :)
