Who is Stephen Hawking ?
Stephen William Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 and died on March 14, 2018; was an English physicist, cosmologist, author and research director at the Center for Cosmology of the Universe at Cambridge University. His scientific work includes collaborating with Roger Penrose on gravitational dispersion theories within the framework of general relativity and theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation, often called Hawking radiation. Hawking was the first to develop the theory of cosmology, which was explained by a union of general relativity and quantum mechanics. He was a strong supporter of the interpretation of the multiple worlds of quantum mechanics.

Stephen Hawking, the brightest star in the firmament of science, whose ideas shaped modern cosmology and inspired millions of viewers around the world, died at age 76.
His family issued a statement in the early hours of Wednesday confirming his death at his home in Cambridge.
Hawking's children, Lucy, Robert and Tim said in a statement:

We are deeply sad because our beloved father passed away today.

He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will last for many years." His courage and persistence with his brilliance and humor inspired people from all over the world.

Hawking in one of his statement stated that:

I’m not afraid of death, but I’m in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first

As a member of the Advisory Board of Starmus Festival, Stephen Hawking had a major role in acknowledging and promoting science communication. The Stephen Hawking Medal For Science Communication is an annual award initiated in 2016 that honours members of the arts community for contributions that help build awareness of science. The medal features a portrait of Professor Hawking by Alexei Leonov, and the other side represents an image of Leonov himself performing his famous space walk and the iconic “Red Special”, Brian May’s guitar. The STARMUS III festival in 2016 was the location of the inaugural awards ceremony for recipients of the medal. The award recipients (chosen by Hawking himself) were composer Hans Zimmer, physicist Jim Al-Khalili, and the science documentary Particle Fever. Starmus III was a tribute to Stephen Hawking and the book of all Starmus III lectures, "Beyond the Horizon", was also dedicated to him. In 2017, the Stephen Hawking Medal winners were Neil deGrasse Tyson, The Big Bang Theory and Jean-Michel Jarre.

may His gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

One thing that marvel me about this man's life was the fact he made these enormous contributions before he passed away. I was telling a friend today that if Hawkings was to be a Nigerian, mehn!, he would have died of boredom and lack of care.

I thank God for his life, he was so lucky not to be a citizen of our dear shit-hole country

so sad to hair...

Is a great lost dude.
