Revealing truth, Can a lie be beautiful?

I used to hear this phrase "a beautiful lie" from many intellectuals. But, After continuous contemplation what I got to know is a lie can never be beautiful, cheating another person, whatever the reason may be is still unethical and cruel. If you lied to bring a smile on someone's face, yes it will let him feel happy for the time being but, it will hurt him when he will get to know that you cheated him. He will not believe in your words after knowing that you may lie to him. A real bloody face is better than a fake smiling face.
Story: A beautiful lie
Love(fictional character) and Thinker(fictional character) were best friends, they shared their childhood memories, their youth and even their death. Love never left Thinker alone, they were together all the time. Once they went to a greenish garden to see the nature and feel their presence. Thinker was praising the beautiful greenery surrounding them and Love was also getting attracted by the breathtaking scenery. They were remembering all their beautiful memories, the time of laughter and the time when they shared their deep intense thoughts.
But there were some cruel, empty headed people following them who were thirsty for the blood of Love and hungry for the brain of Thinker. They started firing their foolish words through their mouth and Love got heart injury and she was sure that this will cost her life. Thinker also got a head injury and was breathing heavily, Thinker was only concerned about Love, he wanted to see Love alive and safe. Love cleaned her face, inhaled all the pain and went in front of Thinker and when Thinker asked her "How are you Love? Tell me you are safe!", Love told him that I didn't got any injury with a smiling face. Thinker died smiling peacefully and after seeing him smiling, Love also died with a smiling face.
Was this a beautiful lie?
May be for some people, it was a beautiful lie as it made someone happy. But, those who believe in the life after death, Thinker will ethically be grieved, when he will get to know that the last word from his friend was a lie.
