Treasure your imagination!

in #life6 years ago

It is your ticket to fame. It opens up a whole new world to you, where knowledge comes rushing in.

Imagination is fickle!

The power of your imagination can go (disappear) just as fast as it comes. Especially, if you’re trying to think up something to write! But the more you use it, the more it feels welcome to stay.

Inspiration comes from using our imagination!

It’s comforting to know there is help just `at your fingertips’ if you should need it. But it only works, if you are willing to believe in its magical powers!

Relying on your imagination:

Because imagination can be elusive, you have to learn to wait on it and trust the silent messages it’s transmitting to you.

  • I have learnt to sit quietly and let my mind travel loosely. And when a thought comes fleetingly, I `grab’ that thought and let it mature.
  • To mature it, I transfer that first impression onto paper. And then as I type it up more fully into my computer, more thoughts start coming to mind.
  • If I hadn’t done anything with the imagination idea that had come to mind… nothing would have happened!
  • That shows I have trust in the gift presented to me. And like a friend, it supports and helps me, to unravel the rest of the imagination revealed message.

Nurturing your imagination:

When you first use your imagination, it’s like having planted a seed. You need to water it, dig the soil around it, and pull out the weeds that are trying to strangle it. And as it grows, it starts to give you fruit.

If you take time out to use your imagination, you will experience wonderful exciting thoughts come rushing in. Like playing with a small child, they blossom into happy brilliant `children’.

What you make of the WOW-moments your imagination gives you, is really up to you. Now would you want to know how imagination works?

Balance of reality:

The brain consists of the logical left side and the emotional right side. There should be flexibility between the two sides. But most people are too scared to use the feelings of the emotional side. They don’t want to look ridiculous.

Let me give you an example how the brain works:

  1. When you are driving your car, you are looking ahead at what’s happening, so you can make choices of where to direct your car. Isn’t that so?
  2. But what if at the corner of your eyes you see a child’s ball come bouncing into the road! What do you do? You quickly assess the situation to decide what to do next.
  3. Aaah, but what was your brain doing while you were assessing? “Hey here is trouble, a child can get hurt. Will the child run into the road after the ball? And, if I turn in the other direction, who else will get hurt? Which cars will I hit and who could possibly smash into me?”
  4. But what was happening while you’re assessing the situation? Aaah, there you have it! Your imagination took over. Your mind was boggling, the possibility of a bloody mess and a child left lying dead in the road. Smashed up cars, including your own…. etc.
  5. And because you allowed the balance of logic and your sixth sense to kick in, you were able to prevent a tragedy from happening.

Conclusion: That’s what happens when you type up your imagination thoughts.  Your mind balances those crazy way-out thoughts logically. Logic comes into play because you have to put it into words, compose sentences and express yourself.

Seriously now!

  • If you thought using your imagination was crazy, consider how famous inventors used it to create their dynamic inventions!
  • Authors have to use their imagination in order to write fantastic best seller books. That’s how they think up fascinating plots, facts, theories, dialog, and envision scenes, dramas, etc.

And as bloggers we need its power to think up exciting and mind-boggling posts! So have fun from now on thinking up the most dynamic blogs.

Basically, I've personally put a lot of thought into voluntary control of belief.

I would definitely like to see an episode on the subject.

I tend to think of it in terms of something akin to habits of thought, where it becomes difficult or impossible to change elements of a worldview that are practiced over long periods of time and eventually build to form a cogent (or not) picture.

Yes, over the years people have come to think of imagination being a silly thing to do. And the people who use it are afraid to admit that they actually go so far as playing with mystical ideas, play it down. So as not to confront the worlds's view. That is: don't tell other people that's what they do to achieve the `cool' things they do.
But I love to cogent (force) an imagination beyond the norm as most people know it. That's when more fantastic ideas come rushing in. I find the process of discovering new theories very exciting!

I also totally agree with you.Imagination and reality two different things.Your imaginations are you spend good life with luxury life style. You are so enjoying your life. But you can't.Because your resources are limited. And your wants are unlimited. That is reality of life. Thanks for sharing this valuable and good article.I always learn from your post.dear @Artguru.

I really loved what you said. I think the ability to use your imagination a privilege. It truly enriches you life. Not only does it provide things to write about or use it to improve your art, sometimes warnings come through with the flow of ideas! Maybe because we tend to balance it with logic.

Imagination is the most important aspect of life! With it, everything is possible :) everything is at our fingertips and minds! It’s amazing! Many of my friends have suppressed their imagination whilst getting older, and it’s not good to see, we have to keep it alive and not let it get taken away, relish the imagination and let it run wild!!!

Most people think imagination is fairy stuff, light nonsense! But it's an amazing gift to cherish. We must just put it to good use that's all.
You know we can't always take it at face value. It's has to be transformed into something more profound, to give it greater power.

The Power of Imagination is a form of reflection, unique ideas and thoughts that extend beyond the threshold of human reasoning, which ultimately results in something that has a high aesthetic value that is initially processed by the brain into something different that can be seen by the eye can be enjoyed by sense (inner).

What an extraordinary right brain ability. Great tips and tricks @artguru! Thank you!

Aah, now you have got it. What gets your imagination going full tilt, is the use of all of your six senses. How you feel about things. You are tuning into your emotional side. The side of the brain that sometimes lies somewhat dormant!

wow wonderful content, i agree with you imagination and relity are two different things, the power of imagination can success the human also ruin him, good job keep it up have a good day, i upvote you please do the same back, thanks

Ruin comes when we abuse the gift of imagination. When WOW ideas arrive, it's up to us to assess the wisdom of using it or not. The thing is, it's up you you: to ask yourself how you can use it and how will it profit you, or recognize the stupidity of using it.

Wow! This is really an amazing post about how to manage imagination. I have a hard time about this, but your posts give me extraordinary enlightenment.

You may have had a hard time with it in the past. But now that you know how valuable imagination can be, what do you intent to do with it?

AGREED!! I also do the same (sit quietly) because ideas always comes when you think visually and smartly in a peaceful environment. Its imagination that gives you words in reality.

I love what you said about: Imagination gives you words in reality. That's a Wow statement. From imagination we put it into words, and that makes it real to you. And when you use it, produce something from those thoughts, you turn it into reality.

@artguru

Obviously, really good thought...agreed...

Basically, I feel like imagination, as we usually think of it, isn't just contemplating things which might be neither true nor untrue, it's intentionally supressing our suspension of disbelief, and contemplating untrue things with the same regard and commitment we would give to true things.

Yes, out of some untrue statement we may derive at another thought or theory. Like taking a trip through all the mess in order to discover something of worth in the all silly rubbish.
It shows deep thinkers are more-likely come across a 'gem' they can use.

Totally agree with you, imagination and reality are two different things, but when writing we need to combine both, but to some extinct. The balance between them is necessary.

Right ✔ I agree with you 👉

So right. We need both logic and our imagination to come to a possible conclusion.

WOW...!
Nice article @artguru

Could you make video about education?
What should human learn and how deeply etc.

However, Thank you for sharing this awesome thought...
Keep moving forward, Have a good day
Steem on...!

I've taken note of your request. At this point of time I don't how to go about it. But I will consider it. Thank you so much for putting forward a possible topic to work on.
What you can do though now, is put me more in the picture of what you are more concerned about within the broad topic. This will help me to direct the topic more effectively.
