All In Divine Timing... Never Give Up!

Almost a decade ago in another coast I browsed through the crowded and dusty shelf of my favorite antique store. That’s when I found and discovered a beautiful figurine of Marie Antoinette with a sweet Pekingese on her lap.
Being that I’m somewhat a Francophile and i belonged to a Pekingese rescue group I immediately fell in love. Unfortunately the price tag was well beyond my means so I had to leave this gal behind.
I researched the maker and put an alert for this petite treasure online. Only three times in all these years did it ever appear on eBay and always with a steep price. Yet somehow I knew one day I would call this little treasure my own.
Fast forward to a week ago....
We decided to take a drive a few miles north and hit the antique shops in Old Town Temecula. It’s always a treat to visit the area and do some shopping and dining there!

There are so many cute shops!

All the shops had beautiful seasonal items but being lovers of old treasures we decided to do some shopping at the various antique malls. This little gem in particular.

And this is exactly where by sheer luck I found my figurine!
And the best part? It was 20% off!
Good things come to those who wait right? It was purchased and gifted to me and you would never believe how my eyes welled up in tears.
She was mine!
This got me thinking, sometimes we think something can never be achieved, bought or had and so we give up on the pursuit. Sadly this also means we have given up on ourselves.

If you want something bad enough it’s not wise to sit there and think it’ll manifest itself without you doing anything. Well, this applied greatly to my life as well. I have always enjoyed creative writing yet I never had taken a formal writing course which had always been a dream of mine. I had a million and one excuses not too and honestly I was always told it was a useless degree to have by others. I put these words aside and thought, “Well, it might be of no worth to them but it would mean the world to me to accomplish this!”
And so today I start my first class online at an online university.
I gotta say I’m pretty proud of myself.
Honestly, no matter what- time, others opinions, and what not. Never give up.
