The Charm of Rubiah Island

The sky was so clear blue without clouds when we set foot on the island of Sabang a few days ago. The beauty of Rubiah Island, so very tempting us to go directly to destinations that have been spread to foreign countries.

Although without a guide and had strayed so had to wonder to the citizens, we finally arrived in the region Iboih, Sabang, exactly at 12.30 pm.

The price of drinks and food served in this tourist area is also so cheap, when compared to other tourist areas such as Bali, Lombok and Raja Ampat.

For one bottle of mineral water, traders only set the price of Rp 5 thousand. So also with a very varied food, on average only between Rp 15 thousand to Rp 25 thousand for one plate with a menu of one piece of fish and vegetables.

Because the stomach was fully, we were immediately doing Snorkling on the Rubiah Island.

The boat residents were lined up ready to take tourists crossing from Iboih region to Rubiah island. To cross, citizens provide a varied price. For two people, boat owners set the price of Rp 100 thousand for pickup from Iboih -Rubiah.

However, before crossing we also had to rent equipment for diving, snorkling (glasses and breathing equipment in the water) and life jackets, all only rented Rp 40 thousand. Visitors can wear it until 18:00.

Only a distance of about 3-5 km, we arrived at Rubiah island which has an area of ​​26 hectares of this. Nemo (Clownfish) whose name fame when the film skyrocketed on the screen this year 2012, welcomed us. We swam about two hours with nemo fish and her best friend.
