RE: Sometimes we people do good things...but sometimes.
It still begs the question- is this the best we can do?
I am a homeless advocate. I'm not sure if you read my story I had to write that one with a little bit of humor, because, well... you'll see :)
I also covered the Well Fargo donation for the Vets to have tiny plastic houses...
But the way I look at it, a nation, a people are only as strong and good as the weakest citizens, so again I ask, is this the best we can do?
I have read your story and until I read the comments, I was thinking "what an imagination"... Then I learned.
No,this is not the best we can do but the thing is for most of the people like the U2 song..."i would join the movement if there was one I could believe in..."
The helping system, at least where I live is so much corrupted that like the first comment in your post, people are directly thinking that you are trying to make benefit over others misery.
We don't believe because of a percentage of rotten apples in the system.
If the full transpaency can be achieved and people can reach unmanipulated results without effort and manipulation we can do more.
Even then, some rotten apple will arise and put a dirt on this pure clean movement and you will have to defend yourself.
And people, since they have tendency to believe in negative than positive, at any doubt they will leave the cause.
I hated myself on this comment...I gave the reasons why it will not work rather than how it will work...
But the thing is I have no solution in my mind how it will work...do you ?
Again U2 is singing in my head...
Whatever...stay positive.
