Some might say:

The suffering of the world, the animals, the people is infinitely great. The environment is destroyed. People are bad. They are bad and evil. They destroy themselves and the world on which we live - the animals and nature. Nothing has a purpose anymore. Everything I do to make the world a better place is of no use anyway, and I can no longer bear all this. In this case, we decide to suffer.

Or others might say:

Yes, the amount of suffering in the world is tremendous. Our beautiful nature is already largely destroyed. We, humans, torture animals and we torture ourselves. But I can improve the world with my positive attitude by a hundred percent! Because I have a hundred percent the option to chose!

I have the opportunity to work within my framework, and if, for example, I could save only one animal from certain death, then I saved this animal a hundred percent! If I can be there for a human being - no matter in which situation she or he is at the moment - then I am a hundred percent there for her or him at this moment!

This way, we decide to feel!

Do we have a choice when it comes to letting go?

When the heart holds tight, the mind cannot let go. That is why letting go is probably one of the most difficult learning tasks in life. And very often we are confronted with this immensely difficult task again and again. Most of us know this very old conflict - the dilemma - the head is fighting against the heart. Whatever we want to let go of because our mind urgently advises us to do so - be it a loved one, an animal, a life situation, an idea or vision, a hard built business, thoughts, memories, sorrow or the past - we only can allow to let it go if our heart is ready to release it.

The heart and the feelings connected to persons or aspects in life we hold close to our heart are always on a conscious level above the mind. Our heart - it was beating even before our head was able to think. That is why letting go is never exclusively theoretical. It is never possible on the level of the mind.

Whether we really let go of something is always decided finally by the heart. And the heart will make this decision exactly when the time is right for this process to start. But until the time is right, or shall I say ripe, we go through an intense mental learning process - our soul experiences strong growth.

Let’s compare this time span with a long, stony path full of hurdles to overcome. And that is exactly what we should do - take the hurdles! For every hurdle that is bypassed or ignored the time is lengthened while we are on our path to letting go. We are confronted again until we have finally really learned, lived through and understood.

Even if we find the path to letting go very difficult and exhausting, we should definitely look at it positively and walk it in absolute trust. For as we walk this path with a positive and trustful attitude we will gain many new insights. We recognize certain things that we might never have recognized, understood if we had remained in repression.

Sometimes the eye must rest on something in order to see clearly. Sometimes we have to change our angle, change the position we look at something, find a new way to view. Perhaps we also get to know new people or a new animal visits us surprisingly and stays with us. Beings who accompany us on our way and beyond and become real friends. Friends whom we might never have met, we would not have walked this path full of trust. Therefore it is worthwhile to follow the path and take the hurdles with trust and full of positivity, full of strength. This path is the key to letting go. Step by step. And with every single step, with every insight, with every hurdle we take, we prepare our heart a little bit more for the real letting go.

Decision!

If we decide to walk the path all the way, we take a decision to walk on a path into freedom! When we walk this path of letting go full of trust and positivity, we recognize that letting go is the first step towards freedom.
