Hardest truth I have had to accept.

My life up until my mid 20s, I was always a soft hearted, compassionate person. Everyone would consider me to be nice. Maybe too nice in some cases. I was very empathetic and hated the suffering of humankind. And although all of these traits were genuine, they led me to places of humiliation and pain unbearable. I was taken advantaged of many times and left in shambles only because I gave a fuck. Nobody really gave a fuck.

Nobody owes you anything just because you’re nice. And there are people out there who will use their claws and destroy you.
