Fighting my nemesis : Procrastination
Procrastination has plagued me since a very young age, it is vital that i kick that to the curb, or at least figure out how to improve myself and overcome my natural urge to put things off.
5 basic step
- Identify the task that you're avoiding.
- Ask yourself why you're avoiding the task.
- Break the task into manageable chunks.
- Create a timeline with chunked tasks.
- Reward yourself when the task is done.
Identify the task you're avoiding - What is the task? What is it regarding?
Ask yourself why you're avoiding the task - What is holding you back? Why are you dragging your feet? What are the obstacles?
Break the task into manageable chunks - How can the task be broken down?
Create a timeline with chunked tasks - Set a timeline and complete each smaller task. Follow the timeline.
Reward yourself when the task is done - When you finally complete the task, celebrate its completion by rewarding yourself. Give yourself some quiet time with your bullet journal, watch a TV show, go get a bubble tea.
