Here is Australia we can stop and have a sleep on the side of the road. We have 'rest stops' and each one has signage. Some have fire pits and toilets. We can also set up camp as long as it's a certain distance away from the nearest town (I thinks it's 16 kms). I've traveled around Australia 9 times now and camped out under the stars every night. Absolutely wouldn't trade it for anything. It's the best. Love your story :) following
