I can't throw out a broken bauble .....
The tree was up, decorating had started in all earnest, out came the golden balls of all sizes one by one out of the Santa sacks, everything was flowing until my hand grasped the broken bauble. I remember, the string broke a couple of Christmases ago.
Ahh, little decoration you were a gift from someone very special and you are so pretty, how can I toss you in the bin? You are too pretty. You remind me of the lovely young lady who gifted you, she is full of sparkles too.
You are not fixable, you cannot go back to the way you were, where can you go?
I know..... sit on the dining room table.
