Making good choices - The basics we should know.
Life is full of choices, no? From our early childhood to till date we learn to pick the best option. But it's not always like that we choose the right one, or we should say we don't know what would be the best choice if we say this more precisely.
And, it's not very uncommon to regret later about our own decision. And, maybe we aksed ourselves a thousand times why we took that decision. So, it's understandable that making good choices begin with taking charge of the decision-making process. If we first make ourselves a good decision maker we can choose the best for us.
The first thing we should care about when it comes to making the best choice is, 'knowing the consequences.' We are surrounded by so many things. It’s very tough to focus on what really matters in our life and not sidetracked by insignificant issues in life. So, knowing what matters and if we don't focus on them what would be the consequences is the utmost important thing.
Knowing thyself helps a lot in this. If we know what we truly know, how we react if we get something it becomes easy to choose things in our life. Sometimes, we become confused about seeing something similar option in our life. It can be a career issue or any relationship issue too. But I believe, if we can know what we really want for now, for the future it becomes easy to make the right choice.
Making a good choice depends on different other things like learning from the past, counting our values and ethics ie. But I believe the basic thing is knowing what we really want and what would be the after effect if we get then and even don't get that. Doing this math helps to clarify other things easily.
and, lastly, make it work. Don't look back or procrastinate. Life’s about being present, knowing where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going. If we can do this evaluation we can make it easy to choose the best for us.
