TRAVELING TO MONTENEGRO - BEAUTIFUL NATURE

HELLO STEEMIANS!

At the beginning I would like to say that this is one of the most beautiful nature that I have visited, Montenegro is a country full of beautiful places like Durmitor mountain, Skadar lake and of course symbol of this place is magnificent Adriatic sea. Montenegro is actually a small country with just over a half million inhabitants.It is specific for its Mediterranean climate in the coast, while only 50-80 km away from the sea is the mountain climate, which rule both in the central and northern part of the country. In Montenegro I have visited a fairytale place on the sea called Herceg Novi.

Get ready, the journey begins!

Herceg Novi is a small town with only 12,000 inhabitants located in Boka Kotorska Bay, below the rainy Orijen mountain.

Herceg Novi offers a great choise of beaches, where the most of them are privacy, you can rent a longchairs and umbrellas ( 5-10 dollars ), or simply if you are lover of the sunblasting you don't need to rent anything. Since this is a tourist destination, there are a lot of tourist organizations who offers visit to the most beautiful areas of Herceg Novi. The most interesting offers for me were visit to near islands by small ships, and that's something I would recommend to everyone.

I will show you now photos of a nearby island visit. The island is called Mamula, and there is a fort on it builded before the First world war.

Mamula is 4 nautical miles away from Herceg Novi, and during the world wars, the fortress was used as a prison known for its cruelty. Today this island is abandoned, and it is a true tourist attraction.

Behind this horizontal line that goes to infinity is Italy! :)

And this is my crew!

We were accommodated in the apartment, located 500 meters from the first beach. The apartment rental cost was 30 euros per day. In the next picture you can see a magnificent panoramic view from our apartment.

In the end, I would like to add that I experienced wonderful moments at this place, saw the magical nature, met the culture of this city and wonderful people.My journey ended just 5 days ago, and I'm still under impressions from this beautiful trip. If ever you have the opportunity or desire to visit Montenegro, do it and you will not regret it.
